What is better, Pandora or Chamilia?
Wednesday, May 5th, 2010Pandora vs. Chamilia. Chamilia wins hands down. The Beadcage at one time Pandora and we were the 6th retailer in the United States to carry this product. The product was nice, but there were several things that just were not as good as the Chamilia line. Also, the company was terrible to deal with. We often went weeks of months with back ordered product from the company. They micromanaged our store and really did not understand our market. It got to the point where we were unhappy and our customers were unhappy with the brand and we decided to drop it.
Our decision to drop Pandora was a great one. The brand continues a downward spiral. It is now found in discount mall jewelers and the few remaining original retailers still cannot get product to their customers.
Chamilia has a better design in our opinion as far as the bracelets are concerned. The absence of two screws in the middle of the bracelet makes Chamilia the best choice in bracelets. Many of the the silver beads are similar, but Chamilia is an American company and has so many more silver beads that are relevant to our way of life. The are the only company of this kind licensed to sell Walt Disney charms. Overall, we feel Chamilia has a better selection of beads. Also, Chamilia’s glass beads are head over heels superior to Pandora’s glass in our opinion. The glass beads are made in Atlanta Georgia using glass purchased from Murano, Italy. Our customers prefer the Chamilia beads and glass beads to Pandora too.
We have converted most of our old Pandora customers to Chamilia and or Trollbeads and our customer base and sales have more than doubled since switching to Chamilia. Chamilia appears to be a more coveted or more preferred line by more of our upscale customers.. Customers also prefer to buy from us. Because we sell Chamilia, they know we carry the best and usually choose the lines we carry. We have more years experience in selling this type of jewelery than just about anyone else in the country. We understand quality and which lines are the best.
To sum things up, Chamilia wins in status, design, quality, beauty, customer service and it is an American company. Pandora has better commercials and can be found, if in stock, at mall discount jewelers.
