Redefining Beading. What does this mean?

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

It means being a great retailer. It means being professional. For example, when we started The Beadcage, we began with a small stock of Swarovski Crystal purchased from a wholesaler. We were not able to offer competitive prices. So we petitioned Swarovski to become a distributor. We have been a distributor for several years and are able to offer you similar or better prices than the wholesalers we originally bought from. This enabled us to stock every color of Swarovski crystal and more as well as most sizes and colors. At The Beadcage you can buy from one to thousands of a single Swarovski crystal. In addition, we are the only store in the world to carry a 2mm double AB bicone made specially for us. Because of our dedication and high standards, we are one of only a few Swarovski Recommended stores in the country. When you come in, you will quickly see why.

Redefining Beading. What does this mean?

The Beadcage, Inc.
The Beadcage - Columbus, GA

Since inception, The Beadcage, Inc. has redefined what it means to be a bead store. From the moment you step into the store, you know this
is not your usual beads store. It feels upscale yet welcoming. It is clean and well lit with 100 halogen lights. The music is playing and
you are warmly welcome.

You don’t feel like you are in a bead store. This place has to be a national chain or something. It is just so perfect inside.

This is the way The Beadcage was designed. This is not some spur of the moment decision to stick up a sign and sell beads. There appears to
so much thought into every aspect of the store. This is the way it is supposed to be. After a few years of a small store to test the
waters, there was enough information gleaned to build the bead store of the future. With this in mind, a New York architect who had designed
stores for the likes of designers Tommy Hilfiger and Christian Dior was hired to design the new store. Countless hours were put into the
design of this store and this is reflected in what we now have.

The displays are so special, they are patented. Most people cannot figure out what it is, but it is the “bead-bin” that makes the efficient
design work. It allows us to put thousands and thousands of beads into a smaller well designed area. The amount of beads are deceptive as
there are always so many more beads than expected. In fact, if you spent 30 seconds looking at each of our beads and bead products, you
would need to spend a total of at least 3 and 1/2 days in the store. That is about 80 hours. If you only spent four hours a day looking at
our selection, 30 seconds at a time, you would have to come back 20 days in a row.
