Graduation is coming.

Graduation is coming. What do I buy for a graduation gift? What are the best graduation gifts. What are the most unique graduation gifts.

These are questions we are starting to hear every day.

Yesterday I saw a new face in the store so I greeted her. “Is this your first time in the store?” “Yes.” “So what brings you in?” “Pure desperation!”

Pure desperation? At first thought I felt pretty low. She was desperate so as a last resort she tries us? Then I felt that this was a great chance to help out someone who was no different than many others around this time of year. How does one think of and find the best graduation gift for someone they know or really don’t know too well?

The was a great opportunity for me to help someone in need and to show off our hard work at The Beadcage, Inc. So I said, “Well, I am glad you are here because we can help.” Withing 15 minutes she had picket out the perfect gifts for her granddaughter and had them beautifully wrapped. She was able to leave confident that she found the right store and that her gift will make a great impression.

So how do we do it? We start by keeping our customers in mind at all times. We know that our customers come to us for great gifts and as a place to find things to spoil themselves. We know what the holidays are that people are shopping for and we plan our gift selections and prices to fit. We make sure we are in stock for items as best we can, sometimes ordering every week or more. We try to have more than enough staff on hand at any time so as to give personal service to everyone. Being that we have a full time internet and shipping department, we are prepared to ship or do whatever is necessary to make it easy on our customers.

So what are a few of my picks for Graduation this year?

1. Chamilia is a great choice for the female graduate. This American source for upscale European Charms outdoes all the others with better quality and more choices. For graduation I would suggest a sterling silver Chamilia clasp bracelet at $55 (lobster claw at $39). Charms for graduation include many sterling silver, glass and gold beads. For Nursing Graduation I would recommend the RN or caduceus medical beads. The graduation cap and graduation owls are great choices at about $27. Choose from many other beads to represent school colors or mascots, birthstone charms etc. This heartfelt gift will be treasured for a lifetime. See and purchase Chamilia beads at www.orderChamilia.com.

2. John Medeiros handcrafted jewelry is something requested by our employee graduates. Those that appreciate the finer things in life and understand great hand made high fashion traditional jewelery will desire John Medeiros jewelry. The pieces look as though they cost thousands more than they do. Because the base of this line is not solid sterling or gold, it can be made for thousands less. With about 5% sterling in the base alloy it is still a substantial piece. Each piece is an individual design and copy righted by John himself. The pieces are painstakingly made one at a time by hand and then plated in Rhodium and or Gold. Rhodium is a metal that costs much more than gold and lends itself to not having to be polished. Rings are actually solid sterling or gold. Pieces are guaranteed for life. They are adorned with both cubic zirconium and natural pearls. The most popular pieces as requested by our staff are the hinged bracelets at about $180 and the rings at about $400. Please see the entire line at www.thebeadcage.com/shop. Choose John Medeiros from the list on the left. Please understand that because this is fine jewelry John requests that it not be sold over the internet. Please call for a personal no pressure consultation. We have most pieces in stock, but because each piece is hand made, some pieces may have to be ordered.

3. MSC (Mainstreet Collection) is a great gift that is inexpensive, yet personalized. With many items to choose from, you can be as individual as you wish. My suggestions include the self inking monogram letter stamp at $14.99 with a box of stampable fold over notes at $7.99. This is great for all those thank you notes your graduate will be writing. Other choices include monogram bags, magnetic picture frames and boards, and jewelry. You can see our entire collection at http://thebeadcage.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=273.

4. The Beadcage brand rhinestone and Swarovski adorned pens. At just $11, these pens come in a multitude of colors and designs. All pens are high quality and comfortable. They include upgraded replaceable ballpoint inks. Because these are designed and made by The Beadcage, you can count on a great value with these pens. You can find the entire collection at www.thebeadcage.com/shop and look on the left for rhinestone and Swarovski crystal pens.

5. Rounding out the rest of the gifts, please consider Lampe Berger, Lindsey Phillips Switchflops, and Kameleon Jewelry. All of these can be found at The Beadcage. www.thebeadcage.com/shop.
